Hi, Team!
First, I am happy to be working with you! This is my manager README, but it's written for you! It was challenging putting this together concisely. I have the tendency to overtalk - you'll soon see for yourself. I've jammed this with details about who I am, how I can work with you, what I value, how we do our best, and me outside work. I hope this will help us become more effective in communicating and build great work dynamics that deliver results!
I am very casual and open, you can message me, give me a teams / zooms / whatsapp call, or pull me over when we are in the office. I do have silent focus times and can be too zoned out, but I will definitely come back to you when I realized that you reached out.
ENTJ-A personality reeling from ENFJ-A 2 years ago. You can see my 16personalities result here. I am amazed on how spot on it got my strengths - Strong-willed, charismatic and strategic thinker. Then of course, it also mentions my areas of improvement: I can be stubborn, dominant and overly confident. I am aware of these and I am consciously addressing them every time.
I am innately a problem solver, and an out-of-the-box thinker. To me, problems without solutions only means that we are solving the wrong problem or asking the wrong questions.
People who works for end results rather than ticking off to dos in their job description - this is my team. It is fundamental that we understand why we are doing what we are doing. We may be doing the wrong thing after all (Read Pot roast principle).
I will definitely listen to you and the rest of the team. At times, I am interruptive and seemingly impatient, but you can always tell me to chill down.
Your wellbeing and growth is front and center!
I am kind and considerate but I am also honest about feedback and commitments.
Grittiness - You will often find yourself facing challenges where it seems all odds and deadlines are against you. Being positively stubborn and not giving up easy is the key. You are intentionally put in situations where you will stretch your limits and grow. You will learn new skills and strategies, and develop poise under pressure. If you get tired or stuck, pause and rest, ask for help, discuss options, choose the best alternative, but do not just accept problems as they are. Bloom where you are planted.
Accountability - Your job is not done by just completing off your to do list. You are expected to see the task to its completion. "I am done with my part" is on the top of my pet peeves. If you rely on somebody else, coordinate, team up, follow-up, do not just wait for the ball to be back at your court and then cram. It is our business to know the complete "definition of done".
Honesty - You must always be transparent about your skills, challenges and tasks. Sugar coating status reports can only lead to problems. Lay it down accurately, let's see how we can help each other.
Challenging status quo - Yes, we must be compliant with rules and norms, but ask questions. What's the purpose, is there a better way of doing this? Does the original purpose still matter? Do this always but conscientiously.

I frown upon overtimes, and don't expect anyone doing them unnecessarily. If I ring you up at 3am, understand that I am very sorry about it and that there is a fire somewhere that only you can put out.
Accountability + Honesty are good indicators of trustworthiness and maturity. I do not micromanage, but I will work with you on the details if I feel that you need guidance on getting things done

Regular one on ones! We are both responsible in ensuring that we meet atleast once a month.
I'm all about collaboration, both within our team and beyond. I also believe it's important to try new things outside your comfort zone (with good intentions, of course). We might not always see eye to eye and encounter hecklers, but I'm always open to feedback (even if I might still try to convince you otherwise - I can't help it)
Work life harmony. Pace yourself, rest and wellbeing is important.
Trust your teammates and assume positive intent from everyone you work with.
I trust you, therefore I make you accountable. You will take ownership and I will not micromanage. But if there are issues, I will ask some questions to check in.
